National Academy of Inventors

Project: Engage NAI members to learn more about their needs and make recommendations regarding NAI member benefits and services.

Project: Serve as a speaker and moderator at OU's annual State of the Appalachian Ohio Region conference; design and conduct a workshop economic engagement with faculty and leadership of the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service.

The Ohio State University

Project: Working with the university's Vice President for Innovation and Economic Development, conducted discovery research and developed an economic engagement framework to guide institution-wide efforts focused on economic development in Columbus and Central Ohio.

Extension Foundation

Project: Funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA), design and develop an evaluation framework for Extension Foundation's New Technologies for Ag Extension Project Accelerator.

New Jersey Innovation Institute

Project: Working with industry sector leads, develop a strategic plan based in value creation objectives for this New Jersey Institute of Technology corporation focused on turning ideas into workable solutions in defense, entrepreneurship, healthcare, and regional economic development.

Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU)

Project: Facilitate a design thinking process with the Innovation and Economic Prosperity (IEP) Universities Executive Committee to develop improvements to the designation program.

Project: In support of UH's launch of a new Institute for Global Engagement, design and facilitate a design thinking workshop to engage faculty and leadership in ideation and planning for the institute. Make recommendations for institute leadership, features, and functions.

LIFT Manufacturing Institute

Project: Funded by the U.S. Navy's Office of Naval Research (ONR), as part of LIFT’s Operation NEXT initiative to help separating service members transition to careers in manufacturing, research and recommend competencies and teaching assets for online learning about robotics.

Oregon State University

Project: For the university's STEM Research Center, design and conduct ideation and planning workshops focused on development of the Center's identity, outcome metrics, decision-making processes, and approaches to strategic communications.

North Carolina A&T State University and University of North Carolina Greensboro

Project: Working with the dean of the NCA&T / UNCG Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, facilitate ideation and discovery for the Gateway Research Park and make recommendations for new development and value creation efforts.

University Economic Development Association

Project: Funded by the Lemelson Foundation, design, implement, and facilitate a pilot for UEDA's Ecosystems Design Network, helping member universities connect with external partners using design thinking to strengthen economic development and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU)

Project: Funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST). Coach and study partnerships between universities and Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) offices. Develop a toolkit to support university-MEP collaboration nationally.

Northern Illinois University

Project: Provide coaching, advisory, and program design services for NIU’s Chief Engagement Officer, Dr. Rena Cotsones. Facilitate discovery research to support implementation of NIU’s Centering Engagement, Driving Impact Task Force, established to develop an institution-wide definition of engagement and recommendations related to engagement infrastructure, metrics, scholarship, and other key engagement issues.

University of Oregon

Project: Funded by the Lemelson Foundation, work with University of Oregon to convene two other universities—Oregon Institute of Technology and Portland State University—and the universities' partners in Eugene, Klamath Falls, and Portland.  Engage university leadership and community partners in defining strategies for strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems and turn ideas into action using the agile strategy methodology called Strategic Doing.

East Carolina University

Project: As part of the university’s creation of the Intersect East  innovation hub, facilitate development of a mission canvas and startup roadmap for a Center for Digital Transformation.
